For any R&B fans out there, you may be surprised to know that today’s R&B was heavily influenced by this niche genre of music.

Since the passing of Vernon Green (who originally formed The Medallions), the group was "Reconstituted" by several musicians and singers who backed up, and or recorded with Mr. Green prior to his death in 2000. 

The song "Annie Had A Baby" was released by Edwards & Wilson Entertainment Inc. (written by Hank Ballard), and received "Song of the Year" 2007-08, by a vote of over 50,000 musicians/artists worldwide here at MusicForte.
