Kanye West Tries To Steal Taylor Swift’s Moment

Kayne steals mic from Taylor Swift Congratulations to Swift, who won the Best Female Video award with her song, "You Belong With Me", presented by MTV. Unfortunately, her moment was spoiled by the abonxious behaviour of Kanye West, who jumped up on stage, stealing the microphone out of Swift’s hands, to tell everyone that he thought Beyonce had the best video.

Poor Swfit, stood there, not knowing what to do or say. Meanwhile, Beyonce looked completely embarrassed sitting in her chair.

Later, as Beyonce accepted an award, she said, "I remember being 17-years-old and up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child. It was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So, I’d like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."

This was Taylor’s first Moon Man award, but certainly not the first time for Kanye to put his foot in his mouth.

Throughout the rest of the show, Kanye was continuously booed every time his name was mentioned. Kanye West issued an apology on his website, "I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM."

Beyonce has received a ton of praise from bloggers and twitters for the way she handled the incident. Let’s not forget Taylor Swift, who may have initially been too stunned to know what to do, has handled the aftermath without stooping to Kanye’s level.
