Building Your Own Storefront

Building your own storefront or record label can be as easy or as complex as you need it to be.  There are really two basic methods, and a host of ideas not yet discovered.  Your creative imagination is the key to being the most diverse and unique store around.  Stick with the basics to get yourself started, but do not rule out any option that may bring you success in your new chosen field of music promotions.

The basic plan to setting up a store front is very simple and can be done right on your own page at Music Forte.  Choose the artists you are most interested in and add the songs that you think are the most appealing to your personal playlist.  Create a nice looking page by using HTML techniques and remote graphics.  If you are not sure how to perform these operations ask the person who brought you to Music Forte, or have one of our staff at Live Support help you.  Gather the graphics by contacting the artist you are promoting and ask them if you can use their artwork as a way to advertise their music.  You can also find really cool artwork at a number of different free sites around the Internet.

Remember, if you want to earn a commission on a Gold upgrade and CD sales, contact any free musicians you’ve referred to your downline.  Let them know that you’re interested in promoting their music if they upgrade to the Music Forte Gold Plan.  It provides a wealth of benefits and prepares you to become more pro-active in representing that artist.

Use your content spaces to describe the songs you have in your store and have those songs in your player available for your customers to listen to.  Describe the contents of the CD for each artist and the retail price of each unit.  You will have a “buy” link attached for each CD in your store.  When a customer orders from your store you will automatically be credited for the sale.  Bring customers to your store through your various promotion campaigns by using your personal member URL (http://www.musicforte.com/member/).  This can be your main store and home page.

Another method is to procure web space and create a site that resembles a store, or record label.  This takes time to develop and manage.  The content should always be fresh every month on the first page.  If you are interested in this method you can use your Music Forte home storefront as your method of payment and download so that it will cost you very little, and we can keep better track of your overall sales.

Our staff will help you develop your store and over time you will have a technique that is best suited for your style of music.  Remember this is a business, and will require you to learn to earn.  In the beginning you will have to try different methods and various techniques. Just remember that your goal was to be a part of the music industry.  So now you will have first hand knowledge about what it takes to build a record label/store.  The rewards for this will be evident once you start seeing customers and artists come together!

Music Forte is continuing to develop and improve the site to accommodate the A&R reps and the artists they serve.  If you find something that would work really well for your business, please contact us so we can implement those ideas as soon as possible.
