Title: Inundare

Buy CDs at Music Forte
Bellafeather's music is "Progressive Folk Art Rock" with influences in jazz, folk rock, classical, and the avant-garde. She takes the bleeding edge approach to composing music resulting in an experience appealing to true music aficionados. To take you there, Bellafeather uses ambitious lyrical themes and melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic experimentation. Her music sounds like and amalgamation of Elvis Costello, k.d. Lang, XTC, The Sundays, Queen, Sun 60, Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco, and Rufus Wainwright. Certainly those artists are her influences.

Some have asked, "Why the title Inundare?" The album has themes of water running through it.
Sharks 'n' Stars and All It's Done have themes of rain. All I Can Say and Rest Now sing of the beach and Niagara Falls. It was also constantly raining in Brooklyn during the recording. So much so that it flooded the studio. This recording project was inundating for both the time and effort we put into it - it really is a quality record. Inundare is the latin for "flooded" or "to flow" or "under a wave." So the title was also relevant to what was going on in the world at the time.
