Jorge Barnet was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His background as arranger and composer for films and documentaries (1987) lead him to support his own compositions for his coproduced CD "When you return" (1993).
Lately, he had aproached duo playing with several singers and sax players, finally to come to his actual band, "Pro band-o Jazz", a jazz & fusion contemporary quartet with some aditional guest musicians.
A unique experience was to appear in the Mike Varney section on Guitar Player, October 1985, for this unknown jazz & fusion guitarrist from Venezuela.
Graduated from Berklee College on 1981, he has been playing around the Caribean (Aruba, Curazao. Margarita, San Andres) and some south american cities for a while.
His first CD "When you return", was recorded in 1993.
