Tony Vani and Debbie Hoskin create new CD.
“Soul Retrieval” born from tragedy and loss and the shattered soul. When there are no words, yet, a song is born out of words and music. “Soul Retrieval” begins the journey of grief, anger, joy, love and hope. “Soul Retrieval” is to embrace all of life, birth, death and all that is in between.
“Soul Retrieval” a pop/rock CD emerges from the heart, songs that touch your heart, make you laugh, cry, make you think about life.
Written by Toni Vani and Deb Hoskin, motivated by love and strong desire to Honour Jason Hoskin and Roger Sabo. “Soul Retrieval” is the music that lives on in remembrance of Jason and Roger. “To never let them be forgotten”
Tony Vani, sitting alone in the living room chair with his guitar, remembering his best friend Roger. Roger’s life is over. “Roger’s song” is born. A folk/rock soulful heartfelt song, Tony’s voice breaks as he sings the words, “Goodnight old chum.”
“It’s So Hard” and “I Cry” the touching songs of a Mother grieving the loss of her child.
“I Believe” an inspiration rock song written for Roger. “What’s it like to be in Heaven? Did the angels carry you away? I believe you are an angel by my side.”
Part of the proceeds from the sales of this album are donated to cancer research. Debbie and Tony chose to donate to Cancer as we have all been devastated in some way by this disease.
Tony Vani, hailing from Belleville, Ontario, known for his soulful bluesy vocals and skillful harmonica playing. Tony is a charismatic and high energy performer, touring Canada for the past 2 decades in both blues and pop/rock bands.
Debbie Hoskin, singer/songwriter, born and raised in New York City; Debbie had several songs on the Canadian charts in the late 80's; Debbie has a unique vocal style of her own described as sometimes sweet, sometimes sultry, always soulful. Debbie is known for her philisophical lyrics
