Musician Seeking Band - Pro Bassist/Vocalist for Hire - (Paying Gigs Only, Please)

Content: Do you need a bass player/vocalist for one gig or longer (Including touring and recording)? Search no further - my name is Stephen and I have been playing electric bass & singing for decades now. I have my own equipment/transportation. Vocal range is high tenor ( I sing back-up & lead). I love to play & sing quality music with talented, dedicated musicians. I am professional and on time. There are NO restrictions on travel or length of time to be on tour. Dedication to excellence is all that matters to me - no ego here. The main genres I am competent in are pop, rock, blues, R & B, jazz (Contemporary and some traditional), some funk & reggae, also gospel/praise & worship, orchestral, big band, and country. Of major importance to me is playing with dynamics – being tight & accurate, yet possessing the ability to jam out when necessary is the best! I have been blessed with a great ear, so I can get “on track” very quickly even with new material. It is completely normal for me to "lift" exact bass lines and/or vocal parts for songs to perform. As regards vocals, I have been blessed with the ability to find my part (The 1, 3 or 5) immediately, and also make immediate adjustments if the lead singer starts singing my part, for example. I have experience in playing clubs, private parties, recording studio, touring, and songwriting. As regards songwriting, I somehow have the ability to hear options which help to make a song or idea “come to life.” So this means that I can be pro-active & valuable to you as another sounding board for your new ideas. I read charts. Having music to review in advance of a performance is good (Depending on the music), but is not always (Usually is not) necessary. I know a large song repertoire and have been to hundreds (Or thousands?) of impromptu jam sessions during my career. I have also played many gigs without ever having met the musicians (Or rehearsed) beforehand. I also have a fair amount of sheet music in many of the genres mentioned above if needed. Paying gigs ONLY, please unless it's for a really great cause. Rate of pay will need to be determined on a “per gig basis,” depending on the particulars/requirements of each gig.
