Set -- great game for highly visually-attuned people

Quiddler -- it's like scrabble with cards

Xactica -- it's not like anything... it's all about strategy

This is not an advertisement to buy any of these games. You can play the daily games there for free and if you win, you're entered in a contest to win an actually tangible set of game cards and play to play in the tangible world (as opposed to the virtual world).

I like these games because they are fairly unconventional and they use parts of the brain that I don't feel most people exercise on a regular basis.

The thing that I find most interesting about Set in particular is that you can play it with people who don't speak the same language as you. In fact the directions for Set are written in English, Spanish and French. Then once you all get to playing, there's really no need to speak to communicate during the game. You'll see what I mean when you try the game out!

Quite and intresting set of games , never before have I played them ,they were tricky at first but I soon got the hang of them.
