Here's how I use feedburner. I go to the MRSS or iTunes link that appears above a member playlist (you are only able to grab your own). Then I plug that URL into feedburner.

Feedburner makes the feed more globally compatible. I then use a submission software to send it out to multiple feed sites. The software I use is call RSS Submit. It's worked well for me, but that's probably worth a new topic.

This process has improved the backlinks to Music Forte tremendously. Also I can track how many people ares subscribed to our feed via feedburner.

I know I'm not using it to it's full advantage, and I think we all should take some time to play around with feedburner more, and figure out how to use it to it's fullest.

Is there anyone on board right now that has used Feedburner in the past or currently?

Tell us how it has helped you.

I still haven't figured it out. I looked through the forums and in one reply it said to just click on the Podcast It! link and then submit that to FeedBurner. When I click on the link, all I get is 'The page you are trying to view does not exist'. Do I need to pay $29.95 to use this (I read somewhere else that Music Forte provides this service fo that price) or is that something separate? I also clicked on the Media RSS and RSS ITUNES (what is the difference?) but not all of my tracks were listed (at least not the ones I would like to submit to FeedBurner). Am I missing a step somewhere?

Hello Ron,

I've tested your link and it did come up. Just to make sure, go to your profile at http://www.musicforte.com/member/fabrika, and then right click on the "media rss" icon, and copy the shortcut.

The songs that appear on it are the songs, that you've designated to appear on your playlist.

This is the URL that you should use to submit to feedburner.

The reason we provide two is because there are many forms of RSS that require different categories or labels. We've presented the two most popular schemes, but even they constantly evolve. That is why we recommend submitting your feed URL to Feedburner.

Feedburner creates a feed that is accepted almost everywhere.

You don't need to pay for this service to be activated. The $29.95 is just an option for members that don't want to do this themselves.

Hopfuly we'll be able to provide enough support in the forums.

Thanks Greg! That was easy. I just realized that it's just the free tracks that can be podcast (the ones I have for sale aren't listed).
