hi everyone. this is my first post. i know you're all anxious so i'll get right to my favorite lyrics - which are mostly by Collective Soul.

"and there it goes,
my innocence --
while gathering
up a compliment
and here i lie
with words to swear
there's something more
than the world out there."

Smile

nice to be here with everyone.

What ever I am writing or wrote last gets stuck in my head and it hurts because it makes it hard to sleep at night. Sometimes I put a little radio under my pillow for half an hour to try and force it out.

I know how that is. Sometime right after I've written a new song, I get so excited about it that t I hear it all night in my head.

By morning I almost hate the thing!

I watched the movie and have been humming this song ever since!

Paul's Song
Bullet
Safety of Objects Soundtrack

In the morning
I hear the angels they
lick our faces to make you smile
Oh help me
we never touch
please remember I
still believe in something beautiful

And you are
all I need
pick me up
I'm crying

In the winter
all the angels
sit between us
and wish that we could know
I would want you
tell you how much
but the words
are hard for me to see

And you are
all i need
pick me up
I'm crying

Gah, I can't seem to get enough of this song....

Quote:
I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that phase.
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care,
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Probably

And I hope that you are having the time of your life
But think twice, that's my only advice
Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think you are,
Ha ha ha bless your soul
You really think you're in control

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them
Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come
And I can die when I'm done

Maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably

Tis the shiznit!!!

First let me say that I find it hilarious that piano man wrote out all the lyrics to we didn't start the fire....cuz that makes me think of some songs that I can't even utter the name of or I will have to sing the ENTIRE song in my head or it will drive me nuts.

Right now I have Wilco in my head:

"Picking apples for the kings and queens of things I've never seen......
Oh, distance has a way of making love understandable."

that and norah jones...I'll spare you that one tho Smile

This weekend I went hiking in a really beautiful area and I kept thinking:

"When I look down, I just miss all the good stuff.
And when I look up, I just trip over things."
Ani D

Another couple that run through my head, especially when I wake up are:

"This day is overrated now that I'm awake."
and
"Comfort comes only in sleep, bitterness turned sweet."

Both by Unified Theory but from different songs on the same album (self-titled).

Hey ArtPaul, have you heard their musical CHESS? Great music.

here's some good lines:

speaking on the topic of chess --
"How sad to see a model of decorum and tranquility become like any other sport; a battle ground for rival ideologies to slug it out with glee."

This one gets stuck in my head a lot when I'm feeling down:

"Who needs a dream? Who needs ambition? Who'd be the fool in my position?"

It's not all so sad, I just pick out the sad stuff in things. Check it out. It's got amazing music! Very Happy

"bridge over troubled water"

Love their songs plus "the sounds of silence"

Simply brilliant imagery and meaning...

Depends upon my mood, but the one song lyric I find constantly playing in the jukebox of my mind is:

"I charge my dreams with the cheapest batteries, The the light goes out and everytings looks dim, I stumble round pretend I'm dancing, doing fine, Then the truth breaks in" Be Bop Deluxe "Poccession"

(I think I need help. Very Happy )
