I think I've toasted my line input on my sound card!
So, it is an opportunity to upgrade. Until now I've used the sound card in my PC for audio recording (line in).
I've noticed a big difference in recoding at 32 bit 96,000 hertz, Is it benificial or possible to record at 64 bit? and is there much of a difference at recording at a higher hertz level such as 192,000 (or something like that)?
(However I don't know if the sound card I have in my PC is actually capable of line input of 32 bit..., but that's a mute point now)
With that said, should I buy a new sound card, what would you recommend?
or should I buy an audio interface device? Which one?
I will be recording audio from: Korg Trition Extreme, TC Helicon Voice Works vocal processor, and I sometimes mic my acoustic guitar while also using my POD XT Pro for Effect (POD XT PRO sends audio via USB).
I'm using the standard type of jacks from my equipment to the line inputs on my Mixer (Mackie DFX-12) then sending the signal to my pc.
Thanks for the help,
