Hello, this is Akiko/ firebird999
First of all I would like to tell you "Arigatou Gozaimasu,(Thank you so much.)" who had been listening to my moon love... symphony....Beautiful love... sweet planet..etc...
Nice positive feed back that I got and that keep me going to my next project.

I would like to share the magic that I have experienced in the recording of symphony...it was me(Akiko) and Ritsuya(per.)and Tessie(engineer)
everything was all one take. not re-record...
one time only recording...

there we felt magic had been happening.
there was no music chart...there was no discussion...
it just because I did not want any man intentional manupiration for this album...just wanted make this very alive...let the air float...be flexible...completely exposed body and soul and mind into the vibration...
and I trust this per. player very much to capable and he will understand what I mean....and I respect so much of this amazing per. player's love to the each single vibration what sound creates...

so I explain to both of the team, right before this symphony's recording is going to happen.."we are on the beach, this is when the night becoming morning...very very light blue...and this is about...symphony...
wave plays harmony... wind put the melody on top.... rocks plays timpany... so this is the symphony, this planet's symphony... we can hear it..."

so, this is all I told and all maps that we had...
then...recording had started...
we never felt any thinking coming out from each other...
we are just in a sound and in the vibration of the air...

timing...was magic...

I do play synth. and vo. and flute...on this recording...
the power of the image was there...
we felt been driven by music...vibration of the air...

well...can not explain everything..
I just wanted to share some magic experience in this recording...
especially who listened to my music and came to my site...
and gave me the posotive comment on them.
thank you so much.
let me hear from you...
your feedbacks are always important to make me grow...
to another exposure.. to another jorney...

wish you the wonderful jorney, too...

The Symphony is wonderful. Very refreshing, alive, and fresh. Very organic. The magic that you talk about is very tangible and one can feel it in the music.

I can understand what you are describing and I can feel it in what I am hearing of your pieces because I've been in those moments before... when you just go for it, open yourself up - and everything falls into place. Especially exciting when it happens with one or more collaborators and when everyone is working as one combined instrument and you can absolutely sense it burning through your veins.

The waves, wind, rocks, are all there that you describe.

In some ways what you describe also makes me think of the many Indian Classical concerts that I saw a number of years ago. Also very organic in a similar, yet different way.

I would love to see a live performance of your music and be in the same space when this is happening.

Keep up the great work!

Oh Akiko,
I want so much to be able to hear- Symphony
it is the only track in your playlist that will not load...
...i am guessing that it is because it is long and my online computer has a small amount of free space.
I have GOT to free up some space - need to reinstall my cd-burning software

I do love when magical improvised first takes happen
-especially when they are recorded.

My "Believing / Letting Go" is one of those instances.
It was early October -my friends that lived w/me all summer had gone back to Minsk - I was in a lonely and contemplative emotional state...
...just clicked record on the Cakewalk one morning and....
...first take was a go...in the end of "Letting Go" I just pictured a friend walking further and further away at the airport terminal until she was completely out of sight.

Thank you for relating how you envisioned "Symphony" by connecting sound and nature. It is so refreshing to hear your music.
Before I found this thread, I imagined your "Symphony" in the "formal" western sense but of course, I did imagine it would have incredibly wonderful eastern sensibilities as it is from you.
Even better - can't wait to hear it!!! - sure I will Love it!!

Thanks again!
God bless you,

Bret
