I used to live in that area... What a DUMP! The beach is cool, but Santa Monica is a pit.
Where is your music then? Maybe that's the issue, you have no product? Don't know. If you are looking for gigs out there though the competition is fierce! When Motley Crue is playing Starbucks... I mean? Wow!
Just kidding. Cool, so you in Cali, huh? Looking for that proverbial brass ring? Let me share a tidbit with you.... You won't find it! Save some tears and pain and go to say Portland, OR. or something in that type of environment. I have managed many artists in my time, still do. But the scene in Portland is by far outstanding! Whatever you do... DO NOT come to Arizona! That's where I am and this place BLOWS!!!!!! Worse than where you are now. Here, you would be "hungry" AND homeless!  That is because you can't even get a server job here right now... So....  |
