Some of my favorite artists:

Bowie, Stones, Bauhaus, Pixies, David Sylvain, Christine Anderson, Fela Kuti, Miles Davis, U2, Love And Rockets, Robbie Robertson, Pink Floyd, Chet Baker, Dean Martin, Bjork, Bob Marley, and too many others to count. Because of the work I'm in, I listen to music in a variety of genres and I'm open to pretty much anything.

What line of work are you in, Brian?

I'm feeling you with a bunch of those groups you listed. Just grabbed a "Best of Bowie" CD called "Changes". I'll be playing that at work in the upcoming weeks.

Favorite artists or albums of ALL time lists are difficult. My list changes depending on my mood!

Some staples in my music collection are The Smiths and Morrissey. Let's throw in the usuals that anyone who likes music almost always has to list: The Beatles.

I like what I like. Don't really pay attention.

Some of the artists on my list may not surprise you, but I bet many do.

Fourplay, Shaodowfax, Andreas Vollenweider, Chet Baker, Diana Krall, Carla Cook, Laverne Butler, Richard Elliot, Chris Botti, Boney James, Chaka Khan, Queen Latifa, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Ravi Shankar, Take Dake, Sonny Stitt, Duke Ellington, Bobby Caldwell, Dave Gannett (Tubas from Hell), Sonny Rollins, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Horace Silver, Keiko Matsui, Kazu Matsui, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Gene Krupa

And for the rockers:

Frank Zappa, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Moody Blues, Santana, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, Deep Purple, Jade Warrior, and most of the best rock bands of the late 60's thru the 70's.

And, of course, I listen to my own stuff a lot!

i just been listening to 2 CDs of my music from over the past 2 years or so... a lot of the songs are b-sides that no one will ever hear, and that makes me feel kind of sad. i'm truly moved by how much the songs reflect my thoughts and views (big shocker, huh? my music reflects my thoughts...)... no one else will ever get to share in the joy.

ah, well. at least some of it's out there.

cheers

I really enjoy songs that relate to how I'm feeling and cane make an impact on my life.

Some of my favorite artists/bands are Justin James, Dido, Jason Mraz, Natalie Imbruglia, John Mayer, Coldplay, and Snow Patrol.

If you've noticed all these artists/bands have a similar sound to their music.
