It's been almost 3 wesks since I wrote a song, so I started jamming tonight and I have the 1st 2 verses and chorus writ:)

One of the bars I've been playing at was really noisy and I left feeling frustrated because most people were more interested in their drinks than the music. This new song should get their attention. I think I'm going to call it You Oughta Run.

The first verse goes like this:

One hand's got a bourbon
The other's got a gun
I'm looking for some trouble
Somebody's time has come
If its you that's lying in my bed
You oughta run.

Like most songs I write, I'm loving it right now. I can't wait to finish it and give those glass rattlers a shake up. Hopfully they'll like it to:) Mad

Of course people in bars are more interested in the drinks than the music........ I know I am.

Just don't take it too far, or one of these whiny yuppies with a lawyer will construe it as a threat, and you'll be going through the system with the riff-raff again. Happened to me, and the only thing I've hit in the last 10 years is last place on the charts, lol.

Ah, home sweet home, lol. Which is why I stay clear of the goody-two-shoes type altogether, ya can't trust 'em. And they're scared of everything from gay people to anyone that's not the same color as them.

Haha, if he's there, he don't need to worry, but if it was him that was in my bed when I wasn't there, it aint no threat, its a promise.

Don't worry though, its just a song................................ I hope lol

No not yet, I have 2 new songs to record, hopefully tomorrow along with my latest podcast on how to get free publicity. I am contributing to a new concept at the moment, called podfade. Not a good thing:(

I know the feeling homie. Both of my two ex-wives got busted cheating on me. The last one, many, many times I found out.........

Third time's the charm though man. Keep your head up. Can't solve anything with violence. Well, a good a**-whuppin' maybe, but not what you're thinking, lol.

But I know the feeling man. Give it up to the big man upstairs, and chalk it up as a learning experience. Worked for me.

But it is good to write about, eh?

You're very forgiving M8:) If there is anything from my experience it is from long ago. But it certainly helps recreate the mood. I thought a lot about whether it was a good idea to write this song, but decided it might be time to do something a bit more violent.

The second verse goes like this:

It may be a stranger
It may be someone I know
Right now I don't give a damn
Either way I'm gonna blow your head right through the door
Your consequence has come
You oughta run.

From there it gets more exciting. If I may say so myself, some of the lyric is excellent. I think I've had a muse on my shoulder. Actually I think I probably do much of the time. I often wonder how I managed to write some good lyrics. Not being up myself here, I just surprise myself sometimes, in a good way:)

Yeah, I used to worry about everyone that did me wrong, but I just finally let it all go. Women are just as bad as men when it comes to cheating, in my experiences WORSE.

Besides, I've never seen a ring block a hole, if ya catch my drift.

But, just say what I say, there are MILLIONS of 'em out there. If one doesn't do ya right, there's another one that will.

It ain't worth fighting over. Wound me up in jail, where I got to pummel the bastard again, for TWO WHOLE DAYS, (he got to go too, mutual-combat is what the law said...) but none-the-less, it stayed on my record for a while....... at least I didn't wind up with the broken arm, lol.

Yup, lesson LEARNED.

Man that sucks! I was tempted at the time, we had been together for 7 years! But I figured in the end he did me a favour. It was a long time before I trusted women again, but I'm happily married now.

Having been there does help feed song ideas though. Hey if the song did well, it would make something good come from it:D
