Good song man...Can't wait till the drummer listens(hehe) But I say good tune altho I have a few suggestions for it for ya....
1.) The levels are waaaaaayyyy hot and the vocals are even hotter...you should drop the levels back a lil and bring the vocals into the background a little bit...Will give you a better final mix and they won't drown out the rest of the tune...What software do you use to record/edit/mix with.....may be able to give you some pointers that way....(If I am familiar with it, otherwise I am sure there are folks on here that WILL know)
2.) This one is just an idea I have for ya......The song title is Labyrinth right....I am thinkin' maybe add a subtle delay on the vocals to give it the feel like it is in a "Labyrinth".....plus it will also help in the mixing of the vocals too....Just an idea....
3.) The mix altogether is a little bit out of balance......Not everything is clear, But who knows maybe that's the way you want it.....
All together tho it is a real good tune with a retro classic feel to it...I like it...But like i said the above are just suggestions that might make it better.....I like the guitar pan too....It's a lil sudden back and forth but makes it unique.....Kinda like 2 separate guitarists playing back and forth...Adds to the retro feel like the great guitar bands of the 70's and 80's(not so much 80's, hehe)....All-In-All its a real good tune anyways.... |

Thanx man, really thanx for your coments and suggestions.
1) completely right I am remixing it now, and bringing the vocal back whilst reducing reverb on it
2) I shall give it a try. You are right agaim a little delay always helps.
3) mm here I don't know. You see it also depnds on the equipment the song is plaid. My friend told me that there is very low bass level. But on my equipment it sounds different. Anyway I shall pay special attention to it.
Again thanx
and Good luck
yea I am using Samplitude for recording and mixing, for midi editing Sonar and Cubase. I was working in Cubase mainly but Samplitude has much beter quality of mixing down.

Hi man (chasin_insane)
Well it is remastered now. I also tried to use delay on vocal. It does not fit in the song's mode but it is quite interesting.))) I shall upload version with delay on vocal too later on.
Again thanx for your comments
Best regards

| I would have to say that the vocals are still a little too far out front....The mix as a whole sounds much better but them vocals are still a lil too far in front....Bring those down just a little bit more, blend them in with the mix a lil better and you got a killer tune...I will say its a catchy lil diddy also...I have been hearing it in my head for the past couple days now...I like the hook/chorus real catchy.....the end of the song also drops off a little too suddenly...song just finished(hehe).....But my only suggestion now is drop the vocals back just a hair, maybe half a db or more to bring the rest of the mix out....your friend is right too the bass is kinda weak...But it is there so...Good tune man...I like the sound you have...It has a real retro, late 60's thru the 70's feel to it....Kinda like it's recorded on an old 16 track reel to reel or something....nobody really writes songs like that anymore...and you capture the analogue sound well...Keep 'em coming....Can't wait for the next one...lata |

Checked a few out. I can tell you honestly that you stand as testament against anyone who might claim that Doors-style rock is dead.
Good quality recordings, too. Downloaded 'em.

| Just checked Labyrinth, love the tone you get on the guitar. How did you record it? The mix is decent enough, lyrics are clear and the instruments can be picked out individually despite it being a bit muddy at times. Overal good job, thumbs up! Will check out the rest when I have some more time. Keep up the good work! |
