You're my morning star
You're my glistening light
I like you just the way you are
I want you forever in my life

You're my ocean blue
My butterfly, my morning glory
you're like the dawning new
You're like a untold story

I love you by the moonlight
Romance you all night
you're my world, my earth
you're all that it's worth

Honey pie, moonbeam eyes
Your love I can't deny
candy drop, lollipop
My undying love for you will never stop

I love you by the moonlight
Romance you all night
You're my world, my earth
you're all that it's worth

This will be a slow tune right?
It will need a great, strong yet soft voice.
It feels a bit lamentish but I think its got a lot of potential!

Nice. But I have to say ( no matter where else I may hear it or how it is said ) "just the way you are" is always going to be an unintended reminder of Billy Joel's "just the way you are".

But don't change it on my comment. I like it just the way it is. Smile

Do you need or want someone to write the music to your lyrics? Or are you just throwing the lyrics out for comment?
If you are set on Billy Joel, thats fine, but uniqeness is the secret to sucess Smile
I can put guitar either acoustic or electric with or without a solo part, synth work or simple piano. But if you already have the tune, go for it.

With your permission strawbwrry1,
how about if we all work on it from whatever you have so far. Let whatever structure you already have remains and we use that to build on.
line 3 is what "You" wrote. The melody it ends up with will have to set it apart from Mr. Joels' work. We can do that easily.Send a copy of whatever you have. Even if it's a raw take it can be the guidline for the tracks that will become the ones you do your part to. I've left tape behind so CD-r is what I'll need. You may well end up with several versions of your song. Idea
Your song will remain yours Just add a liner note thanking the musicians for their contribution. (ie: TERRY DAUNs' "TAKING FLIGHT" track: "TAX")

Hey strawberry 1

Yeah if we all did a part that would extrodinary. Just think musicmen joining forces over the miles. Ha. CD R is the way to go, thats what I use too.
I can lay down a part thats been in my head, I could set it up on my web site as a download if you like it then it's good, If not then it's all still good. Just let me know. You can check out www.jefferyhays.com If I receive your go ahead I'll post it there, once you have it I'll delete it.

The song is yours, all rights etc. Just a little notation for colab work or whatever.
Peace out all.

Sounds good Jeffery. I do feel snail-ing it would be a bit safer. But, there are ways to send it over the net and still have it be secure. I get e-mails of mp3s and such from friends of unreleased tunes, but all the colab I do is snail.
Let's see what you come up with and if I'm needed I can fill in then.
Strawberry, balls in your court. Very Happy

Great Bro!
What ever parts you do, make a mix of them. I use a Boss Br1180CD.
Theres no usb but I can uplaod a finalized mix onto one track and lay other tracks beside and mix it all together. I'm not to sure if I can move an unfinalized disc(if your refering to the burning process), in any direction thru my systems.(pc and br are not linked physically).
As long as you can retain the original tracks in your studio, leave the tails on the cd you send,(full track sessions beginning to end). I'll add my part(s) and send you a cd-r with your original mix and then the other tracks will be my addition(s) solo. There will also be a mix or two of yours and my contributions mixxed together. This way you have several different angles of attack. We can both burn a finished mix and master for comparrision and trade copies those as well.
I browsed about for strawberry1s' profile and came up with a poet, female? She professed not to be a musician. If she really wrote that lyric cool. if not I'd still lioke to know where it came from.
Oh well,,,ONWARD!!! cheers

Yeah thats strange about strawberry 1. Well I've found that you get a lot of wannabes. And those that want to have some attention. Could be that she just couldn't respond yet. Computer problems? Away from home? Whatever.

I'm not sure about the technicle aspects of how you want me to record the disc. I think what you are saying is record some blank tracks? Along with the burn.
I can add guitar on one track and vocals on another, then add some electric on a differant track, and give the acoustic either a right or left pan, and the electric the opposite with vocals in the middle. Or just mix it all over to one track leaving the other ones open.
If this sounds right or wrong, let me know either way.
Thanks Jose.
JH
Anyway I'll get busy this weekend

If you can leave the tracks seperate and make each one like a seperat song on the CD, I can load them to individual tracks and not have to worry about synching them up. I don't do midi yet. If you do have a mix you like already, a single stereo mix of that will do.
The CD-r does have to be finalized for me to load it into my Br1180.
I find that thru proofing and trail and error I go thru about a hundred discs working on an album.
jazzmatazzes I look forward to hearing it Bro!

Ok Joseexist;
If i'm understanding you correctly, you'd prefer a CD of just the guitar, A seperate CD of lyrics, etc. A seperate CD for each part?

I'll probably do both. Seperate, and the song completed on a seperate single CD.
I was working on the guitar chords last night, some of them are not easy, but it is a pretty love song. Don't hold your breath on my voice, I'l warn ya there. But maybe I can pull it off if I can stay within my range.
