Ok Joseexist;
If i'm understanding you correctly, you'd prefer a CD of just the guitar, A seperate CD of lyrics, etc. A seperate CD for each part?
I'll probably do both. Seperate, and the song completed on a seperate single CD.
I was working on the guitar chords last night, some of them are not easy, but it is a pretty love song. Don't hold your breath on my voice, I'l warn ya there. But maybe I can pull it off if I can stay within my range.

me again. I forgot to add that I'm getting requests from all over for collaboration. One guy is 3 hours from me. Bob Hughes.
He has an elaborate studio going on. Also unrelated tp music I have a leagal issue to resolve concerning my land lord. Long Story.
Also The first band I was in, I found the guitarist in NC. About 8 hours from me. So with that and touring coming up, I better get busy. On one occasion I wrote, recorded, mixed a song in 20 minutes. "Texas Rain"
You can find it at www.jefferyhays.com
I used to drive truck and have been through texas many times. What part are you in? I've been all over the US. Name the state and I was there at one point or another.

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate Bro! That's great!
On the tracks, You should put them all on one finalized, playable cd. Just burn them all as seperate individual tunes. This I can load track by track into my studio. If you've recorded any with the "punch in" technique, There will have to be some noise before the "punch in". Each track needs to start at 0:00:00. If there is no info or sound recorded I may not be able to synch the tracks up. (Blame it on MIDI )
Any silence longer than .5 of a second and the Boss studio ignores the time signature. I've yet to open the cut/paste/shift portion of my controle suite.
Texas! Yep. I live about 40 miles from the coast. 1/2 way between Houston and Corpus Christi. Victoria is right along the Guadalupe River. I'm right next to highway 59 on highway 185. I used to drive a lot as well in the oil field. I did'nt go very far though. Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Mexico. I have a semi-desk job now and don't miss driving all day and night, rigging up pressure controle equipment, and running it,rigging it down, and then driving all day and night. Great $$$ in the field. A bit safer behind a desk though .
Have we tradded addresses?

Yeah when I drove I lived it, but then 3 minor accidents, so I quit the rat race. I'm on disability now for unrelated stuff. Working pattime in the evenings 4 evenings a week.
I will set up the recorder tonight but I think I have to set the track at +4 seconds or it won't record. At anyrate I'll mess with the beast and see what I can do. It's been awhile since I recorded anything new, I have a note book full of stuff, and theres about 5 songs in my head now. I just bought a spindle of 100 discs so thats plenty for mistakes and getting it right, LOL. I'm leary about putting private info in the forums, never know what kind of wacko is out there. Hell you may be one, LOL. But I took a chance this time.
My email is JefferyHays50@comcast.net or you can goto www.jefferyHays.com and sign your email address there, I check it about once a week. I'm the only one who has access to it. So I can send you indivudle emails from there or mass mail stuff. But you are welcom to use my home email adress Jefferyhays50@comcast.net I check that several times a day. |

I'm kinda glad to be out of the field and behind a desk. I do miss it really but I miss the bonuses more than the work.
My GF is disabled as well. LUPUS, among other health problems.
Worry not my Friend, I'm just wacko for music. LOL!
I was born in Madrid, Spain while my Father was in the US AIR FORCE. I have one baby sister who works in a plastic surgeons office, a baby brother who works for a furniture and appliance leaseing firm in Austin, another younger bro who's an ex-MARINE, an older brother who's still in the US ARMY, and as for me I'm a father of two,DIVORCED, and raising a step-child. There's a photo of all of us in the photo gallery at http://www.legasyssongs.com
Do you have virtual tracks onboard your studio? The reason I ask is that mine does and it allows me to bew able to assign master track status to one in a bank of eight. I can mix and master 8 versions of the same song. That's just on the last two tracks (9 and 10). The other 8 tracks also have 8 "V-tracks". Thats 64 tracks to record on. Only one V-track will play at a time but it does help when you do multiple takes to not have to go back and erase while the creative juice is flowing.
The +4 you mention should'nt be a problem. As long as I can put each specific take or your mix into my studio this should work.
From any tail in(unwanted sounds befor actual music starts),to any tail out(sounds such as walking across room or exhaling after an ebnergetic performance as you move in to push stop button), is OK. I sometimes use these as markers myself. |

You're my morning star
You're my glistening light
I like you just the way you are
I want you forever in my life
You're my ocean blue
My butterfly, my morning glory
you're like the dawning new
You're like a untold story
I love you by the moonlight
Romance you all night
you're my world, my earth
you're all that it's worth
Honey pie, moonbeam eyes
Your love I can't deny
candy drop, lollipop
My undying love for you will never stop
I love you by the moonlight
Romance you all night
You're my world, my earth
you're all that it's worth

Seems to me that you keep saying the same thing over and over. I think you need to tell a story - maybe about why you feel this way.
I also think you should avoid inverted speech - Your love I can't deny. Better as I can't deny your love - even if you lose the rhyme. There are other rhymes - cries, criticize, byes, dies - to name a few.
Stick to the topic. This is about how you feel, and not about the way you think she feels.
Hope this helps. |
