I want to be able to sell CD's and downloads. I have really been trying to promote my website in all kinds of different places: blog, my space, whore pages, IAC, indie record companies...you name it. This looks like it could be quite promising if I can earn gold status by participating in forums. Cool

Worry thee not, mein freund.
When thee hast thine courage returned,
send unto me one notice,
and I shall make your poems one
with The Rest.

I Joined Music Forte As Just Another Outlet To Get My Music Heard By The Masses....Maybe Even Make A Lil' Money At It Also....And Also To Make As Many Friends And Hear As Much Good Music As There Is Out There....I Am Getting Tired Of Most Commercial "Success" Ideas And Like To See And Hear What The Underdog Has To Bring To The Table....

Like everyone else, I joined up to have my songs exposed. These sites are a great way to receive feedback from the public.
I'm addicted...I have about 8 music profiles floating around on the internet and its all been good, so I thought what the heck I'll join this one too!

I'm a little fish in a big pond and I hope one day that wave of success brings me to the surface...

Good luck everyone with your music..and I wish the same success to all of you!

Cheers
Alana

i'm here for the exposure. being someone who writes a type of music that wouldn't have a chance for making it on a commercial station. i looked on google for a website that helps promote indie music, and not many website are friendly to classical musicians, but this one seemed so. everyone here seemed cool, so i made an account and that's my story.

Hi Everyone,
A friend from Adland invited me here
and I am so grateful!

Thanks, Simikathy!

I am in a Bluegrass band and we have
2 C.D.s to sell. We are getting more popular
everyday in the Bluegrass world.

The band is called Joe Freeman Bluegrass Band.
Great pickers, 4 part harmony, Traditional and
contemporary Bluegrass some Country and Classic
Rock as well. We also do a lot of Gospel Bluegrass.
Our show also features a nice blend of comedy
"fit for the family"

We have been on "America's Bluegrass Show" for
a couple of seasons. The show airs on WSAZ CH.3
in the W.Va / Ohio / Ky "Tri State Area" on Sunday
mornings at 9:30AM.

This site looks like the best thing since Peanut Butter.
I hope to meet lots of Musicians and do a little business
while I'm here.

I Like to write songs and have a few recorded myself.
I have a home project called "Rick Brumfield ,my 1st C.D."
(just learning really ) I am still trying to get "The perfect sound"

Well enough about me...I'm off to read more about you guys and girls.
Oh, I have already started inviting more Musicians to join us...

Hi Rick,
Welcome to Music Forte!
I invited Kathy to Music Forte so it nice to see she is spreading the word about this great Music Forte Community.
Can't wait to hear your songs. Hopefully you will get some uploaded to your member page.

Let me know if I can help you with anything.

Best Regards,
Noel Schlachter

well, just released an album with 60 artists from 21 diverse ethnic groups. I worked on this album for the big part of the last 4 months, and since everything was done for free, I hope to sell some CDs here, to get some cash back.

Lucky me, one of the artists on the album is Natty Wailer of Bob Marly and the Wailers ! but this album is truly an eclectic piece of music.

the reason i joined this site and not others is because the guys at musicforte replied to my queries at an amazing speed, and were very helpfull.

so, still new to this site (a few hours so far), trying to figure out what I can do here except upload my tracks. still don't fully understand the platinum concept, and if anybody feels like giving me tips - I truly appreciate it.

All the best.

Shay

cheers man, that was some experience!

when i met somebody who suggested making an album with the ethnic bands in Galway (Ireland), i thought it will be a small project, but it turned out to be a (quite handsome) monster..
