Hello!Well I choose this forum to discuss my idea for a web-browser music manager game. I have many ideas for this project but I need your opinion about some stuff. I have complete a section of this project, how to write a song and lyrics. Now I'm working on the attributes that the players must have. I mean the basic attributes (mental, physical). I need your help to make a rpg system. I actually want to tell me what attributes should a player have in order to be a musician, write songs, lyrics, gather a band, perform lives etc. I need a system similar to d20, you know, like strength,dexterity,agility... but some in order to work with this kind of rpg/manager game.

If you're still working with this one, here's some suggestions. First of all of course the stat songwriting for how good character is making songs. Second comes the performance, how well they entertain while playing live. If you add some section about rehearsing songs then maybe a practice stat. When it comes to playing gigs one stat might be stamina, which determines how many shows character is able to play before getting tired.

One thing I've noticed while playing some browser-based management games that they tend to be way too slow tempo. For example in my opinion if it takes a one day to write a song and one day to practice it, one to record etc... the whole thing becomes boring eventually. If the game you're planning is multiplayer game then this becomes quite tricky.

Also you might want to add some equipment that boosts the songwriting for a certain amount, or decoration to the practice place to boost inspiration or whatever.

I recommend trying those games that already exist and then see what does NOT work and leave'em out.
