We're doing a lot of work that hasn't been announced yet, but I wanted to share a peek into a bit of the development.

Shopping:
You'll notice that the shopping area of the site is being improved in layout and design. There is still more to come. However, at this point artists have a much better presentation page, and shoppers have much more ease in navigating to your music.

MP3 songs are presented as digital albums. CDs of artists are also presented on the digital album pages.

Have a look at the example:

Some of the notable improvements that may interest you are:
- Multiple MP3s are added instantly in the buy now buttons
- Musicians get 100% of the profits, but you must have a PayPal account in order for Music Forte to allow that distribution offer
- 30 second preview tracks are available for each presented song
- If the artist has a CD listed at Music Forte, it will be presented on the mp3 pages with a mouseover effect (as shown in picture).
- Better organization and navigation for customers
- More to come

Every area of the site is being redesigned and improved with a fine-toothed comb. The new layout and simplified navigation will create a much better presentation of you, as an artist, and will also provide many additional features for all members of Music Forte.

We're looking forward to revealing the new site, and will update everyone when we're confident it is ready for release.

I really like this new feature , but the new home page is horrible for the site. It would be a great marketing site.
The magic is gone in my opinion . I miss the info of the home page.
It showed everything you could do and get as a member. It was fun, people who were reviewed got to see themselves on the front page.
The spotlight artist part was wonderful for aritists.
It was exciting. The new page looks amateurish to me and uninteresting.
If I had seen this first, I would not have joined or been attracted to music forte. I gotta be honest here, I do not like that change.
The review artist section is way too little and looks bad. You can not even read it. And you miss seeing reviews of other artists so you are deprived of seeing reviews. Pages don't give you a menu to get back to where you came from. You have to back space and some pages disappear.. time out.
Navigation in my opinion, is not as good. When I go to MY ACCOUNT.. I am NOT taken to my account.. but to a page that has other stuff on it.
Also when I work on my page when I log out I am taken to the home page instead of my page again. So I have to put the address of my site into the address bar to get back to my site.
I say if it Ain't broke , don't fix it.. some changes are good. Most I see so far make it look cheesy.
Sorry .. I feel this way, but THe fun is gone for me. Crying or Very sad

i see the songs .....but are many songs.....i think the possibility
of search in alphabetical order.

IN THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE FREE-MEMBER I NOT READ NOTHING ABOUT THE HOW MANY SONGS CAN THE MUSICIAN UPLOAD OR LIMITATIONS IN THE PLAYER.

IS THERE CHANGES IN IT ?

Hi Addie,
We appreciate your feedback, remember these changes will be arriving in phases so bare w/ us. We've been getting a lot of feedback on the old home page for a long time, and the overwhelming response was that new people coming to the site were very confused on what area to go to and what type of membership to join and be a part of. The new home page adresses these important issues and we will be closely tracking the feedback on them. The new members area and portal page (beta) will contain the features you liked on the old page and much more, nothing has been removed...just adapted to a newer, flusher design.

Thanks for the words, keep em coming. The shop results can be alphabetized by clicking the small red arrow at the top of the box. You may have been thrown off as the first results were numeric characters which show before the letter "A". Also the song upload limit has been updated on the link you showed, which is 5 songs for free members and unlimited for Gold/Diamond.

The new Portal page is pretty cool.
Just experimenting with it now.
Will we be able to drag our content to anywhere on the page? It seems our choices of what we want on the page are in a fixed position.

royce, have you not seen the affiliate section on the new home page? that's the platinum section that has now been given major exposure. cyborg's question was about the free musician membership page.

Hmmmm. I think you have to market in order to have a CD sold from your page. I am still looking for what % a Platinum member gets for selling music from their site.. It should be part of the pay plan. Thought I heard that it was.????
I think the attraction of the Platinum plan is for "starving musicians" to get their music out there in an easy simple way, as MF is so easy to manipulate, AND MAKE MONEY! There are a lot of MLMers out there that would love to have fun doing MLM! This is the way.
But.. you have to market your site. The new home page or the one we can create will probably be a good marketing site.
We should have a hit counter for marketing sites as well.
not just a hit counter for our main music site.And other marketing tools for our mlm program.. a different back office to log into for platinum members to market the program..
I still LOVE MF to death!!!!
