Hi everybody... New in the forum... I dont speak English very good but iam gonna do my best...
Well Iam looking for a portable device to record music, to compose songs and everything else... The idea is for example record a guitar, then record the second guitar and then mix the tracks in the computer... I have Sonar 7 producer edition in order to do that...
The problem is that I wanna buy a sony minidisc but a lot of people told me that the minidisc tech is out of date, and is a waste of time. A couple of months ago I use a sony minidisc to record my guitar (MZ-RH1) and I fall in love with the quality of the recording... Thats the reason why I want the minidisc...
So I start looking for another portable devices to record, so what I want is something that records with quality, and use those records in my computer...
Help me decide please!, I have this options:
Korg MR-1 Mobile Recorder
Marantz PMD660 Solid State Portable Recorder
Zoom H4 Handy Recorder
Edirol R-09 24 Bit Wave / MP3 Recorder
Sony MZM200 Professional Portable Hi MD Recorder (Last resource jajaja)
I post the URLs of the info of each one but this is my first post and I cant post the topic with that info, so you can find the info of each one in the "Amazon" online store... Thank you!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your time, I really apreciate your help!!!! |

Anything solid state is going to be fast, fast, fast!
If I could do it right now, I would go solid state on my hard drives. So I think that would be what I would personally go for. Faster is better with audio.
Marantz PMD660 Solid State Portable Recorder
Plus, Marantz was considered VERY high end audiophile equipment in my day.

Hopefully. Sometimes I wonder what happens to great companies like Marantz and Pioneer, etc., over generations, but if they are smart, they will adhere to the same standards they had in the 70's. Then, they were the companies to watch!

Presonus inspire 1394...... Google it. It should do what you need. That's the way I would go. Except, I already have a Firepod. It all kind of depends on what you are going for. For analog input..... I would go with something like the inspire. 24 bit 96 khz....... What more could you want?
Sam
PS Good luck with your choice. Hope it works well for you. |
