I need a couple of you to go to http://yourockblock.com and tell me if the site and the player are functional. Especially 56kers! I put the show up at 80K wma, and it sounds great, I just need to know if you phone modem users can get it without buffering stutter.
I appreciate the help. Thank you

Well hell... Buford, had me some issues today. Got 'em all sown up now.
We are on the air right now man! We need samples from you guys for Fan Jam. Don't make me do this all by myself.

Are you talking about the player at the bottom of the index page? If so, that one worked for me just now. (I played one of the games too) |

No... The player is up top right in the bar over there. It Saye You Rock Radio Small print "Radio Show Here" I have to make that clearer. The radio show is a full 40 minute show, that player is just like on your profile page, just 30 sec sound bites on Music Forte.
I reduced it down to 48k wma. Wma is AMAZING! Way better than crappy MP3. Try to compress an MP3 to 48 K, you won;t be able to stand it! |

I see it now. I didn't even notice it before. It plays fine for me and the audio quality is better than I expected. Cool.

I am a trained professional broadcaster. These shows will only get better once the format is dialed in.
Thank you for the compliment. WMA is the best of ANY compression out there today! When you can take something and compress it to 48k, and it still sounds good, you have got something. Now even phone modem users should be able to hear the show.
Thanks for listening, Ricky, and I need a guest co-host for next week. Monday is the day I record the show. It does not matter where in the WORLD you live, as long as you have a phone. I pay ALL charges for the phone call!
If I don't get a response from here by tomorrow, I will start recruiting from MySpace and get them to join here prior to the show.
To be honest with you, I have a leaning toward black artists right now. They seem to really want to do everything possible to promote their art, and they don't sit on the fence about it! So I am up for more soul/rap/funk. Other genres are cool too, it is just that I have not had that many other artists who really go all the way. I will work with anyone who is motivated though. But I will not wait around, I will hustle wherever I have to to get my co-host.
Your music is your thing, this is my calling. I have decided that this is what I do best.
Remember - You do get paid! Any ONE of the following items:
I will build and host a top of the line website for you for one year - FREE
I will do graphic art and/or logo work. FREE
I will produce/master your music for FREE.
I will create a fan page and add 100 or more new fans/connections EVERY month for one year. 1200 Total
This is how I pay you for your time and these are your royalty payments if you contribute as a co-host or if I use your music offered as free downloads to me as a Platinum Member of Music Forte. The RIAA and/or BMI or ASCAP can take me to court and fight this one out with me. I AM paying you for your services and royalties because these offerings are good for (1) year after your appearance.
What I am offering is worth thousands of dollars if you paid for it out of your own pocket.
If we build up a relationship I will do more for you. ( I can, believe that.) My experience and capabilities are vast, and my references are right here. Greg (The CEO of Music Forte) knows me personally and he knows that I am a man of my word. If I say I will do it, I will do it!
Get with me on my profile, or write me at the station. http://yourockblock.com
Also, if no one wants their fans to make music out of their loops that are REALLY EASY to create, then I will make them to start. And like I said, I will go wherever I have to to go to get some help with Fan Jam. This thing could be huge with the right enthusiasm from us as artists and it will create FAN PARTICIPATION, which is lacking in 99.9% of all music websites around the world. It is a new thing and will take awhile to get moving, but it should be HOT!

I would love to be on the show! What time Monday? How long is the interview? What do I need to do? I'll send you an email through yourockblock in case you don't see this before then.

I was hoping... I liked your page, and you are a busy bee, huh? Nice!
The schedule in Friday to Friday for a week, for your max exposure time. Currently, this is ground floor stuff, so the audience is not huge, but I will have you back numerous times in a year if you are up to it.
You are a co-host. This IS NOT an interview, but rather an opp for your fans to see you as a real person, and just one of the fella's/girls. I think that is important for us to have that "down home" connection.
It takes roughly 20-30 minutes tops. I call you and we chat, preferably we talk or email a day or two before so we get to know each other. I will give you some topics on the Internet you can read briefly, if you want, so you have some conversation in your head before the show, and I will get your juices flowing so it comes out of you naturally. It's fun, everybody who has done it likes it! I need at least (3) downloadable songs on site here.
I will do mastering and production as I promised... BUT PLEASE, not on the music for the show! It takes me about 12 hours to record and produce a show. The music you provide should be the least of my worries. Try to touch up your fades and any EQ issues, of course that is minor, EQ, but you follow what I am saying? Levels I will adjust. It is your music, so how you present it is on you, BUT... I have set a bar on quality for the show, so if your music is too noisy, etc., and I cannot adjust it rather quickly, we will have to get another song... OK? If you want to send me a CD for a later show time, I would love that, and I will promote your CD as well.
That's about it. Recording has to be finished BEFORE Monday of the week you go on. We can flex it to work for you.
Remember... As my audience builds I will always hold a slot for you guys. I am here for you, not the other way around!
