hey...

i was wondering if there are any intervals, methods, techniques for writing indie chord progressions and riffs like those written by the fratellis, the libertines, the view, dirty pretty things, arctic monkeys, babyshambles...

cheers..

The best advice I can give since the genre you're speaking of isn't my forte when it comes to making music, is to learn you're favorite song on your guitar by each artist/band you listed. Sure we can list out the chords that sounds well together, but I don't think that'll help you in the long run.

When I learn cover songs, i tend to discover why I like the song and many other things, including which chord progressions sounds.

By the way, I wouldn't suggest using tab database sites like ultimate guitar as a crutch for anything.
