Does anybody know what scales Jerry Garcia used on his solos.
I think that he uses variations of Blues Scales, however I am not sure.
My step dad in Ava, MO was wondering which scales to use. |

| I'm not so sure he really used "scales" per say...prolly more of guidelines for him....he knew scales and put them together in unique ways that just were simply amazing....the acid prolly helped too(hehe)....Chasin' Insane |

| yeah, I am a guitarist and I can't seem to figure out what he is doing...he's obviously mixed many different elements together. ie) pentatonic, harmonic minors, blues scales...etc |

It is called the L-S-D Scale. Take a tab, play guitar. Make up a new scale.
Another great scale is the ... "Never tune your guitar-ever" scale. Then it is new and different scale every time you play! This mode is my favorite.
