GroovProject -rhythm & jazz band

Donovan "Groov" Henderson, born into a musical family from Kingston, New York, started his career as soon as his motor skills would let him- he was last in his line to play drums. Most of his family were either singers or learning to play an instrument at an early age. In particular, his Uncle Tony Lindsay, is the lead vocalist for Grammy-award winning, Carlos Santana. In 2003, Donovan established a music production company, at that time called, Phattgroov Entertainment. Later on, he revamped his music company and now, its called Block Park Media Group (BPMG).

He would also go on to create a rhythm-jazz contemporary band, made up of local pro musicians, named GroovProject and releasing his debut CD called, Soul Jazzations in March 2006. In addition to that release, he released his latest CD project in December 2007 called, The Life, The Loss, The Love. He got help on this project from, a new band mate Reggie "Fro" Carter. Reggie was born in Washington DC and has been playing keyboards since he was 17. Reggie is trained in classical jazz and is a very skillful musician and songwriter.

GroovProject:
Throwback soul, nice sustained grooves with a gentle melody, lounge mood and sophisticated chords. Sunny and delightful vibes.
