It seems like every time I post, more people check out our music. Either download, or adding to the playlist. So here I am with nothing to say, but testing the theory.

Certainly seems to have worked for me over the years. Now if only there were some corollary about getting listeners to drop some loot into my "guitar case" (like I'm a street musician or something), and sign up for my mailing list.

These things are a heck of a lot easier for artists who perform live. Us studio-and-internet-only artists have it so rough. Woe is us.

Forget it. Never happen posting on a forum. Internet artists can do just fine unless they want to specifically make money. The business has changed my friend, but there are still avenues to explore (I will post on that sometime later.)

Posting on a forum is good for one thing... Google search engine results. Other than that you do it because you enjoy it. Don't expect much else. A listen or two maybe, but nothing really substantial.

Sometimes my forum posts rank higher than my own radio station site. That pisses me off sometimes because I know SEO, but it is a good thing so I ain't really that pissed. If you do not rank somehow in Google, or if someone types your name in Google and it is not there, you don't exist in their mind.

Consider your name a brand. Brand yourself. Don't use goofy retarded names on websites use your band name. People have a tendency to get all 007 CIA on websites, which never made any sense to me but they do it. I get people signing up to my site all the time and they forget their password. I mean, come on... I use the same damn password and I am a member at 10,000 or more Websites. All of them use my name Indie Messiah or YouRockRadio. It's a brand, and you should do the same. Calling yourself funksalot when your band name is HydroPlane just doesn't help your visibility much.

Post your a** off on this forum and other high visibility forums. These guys have a high Alexa and Google rank, makes you more of an item on the Internet.

Then of course there are great threads like this.

Guy comes here and talks like he is really gonna do something and never does a damn thing. This is your typical freeloading indie musician disease talkin' Try to milk every thing you can for nothing returned, and get nothing returned in return. Typical.

You want "hits and Views" on your music? OK... Look at this then...

THAT IS ONE DAY (SATURDAY JULY 12) OF BEING ON MY SHOW!!!!! ONE DAY!

Don't believe it? I have plenty more proof where this came from! Why don't I do this on Music Forte? Because Greg turned off the hits numbers, so what is the point?

My point is that I worked for this type of audience. No one gave me ANYTHING... I paid my dues and CASH when necessary. People... You are NEVER EVER going to make money unless you invest, number one, and FOCUS! All of this running around like a chicken with our heads cut off HAS GOT TO STOP!

One little stinking link on You Rock Radio and Lani & the Boys got 2500 listens yesterday! How many did YOU GET?

This ain't braggin' people... It is a call to action! Invest in Music Forte and they will Invest In YOU! But they can't do it alone! SUPPORT YOUR MUSIC SITE! IF IT IS NOT HERE, THEN WHEREVER, BUT FOCUS AND SUPPORT YOUR DISTRIBUTOR. That is what Greg does here... Distribution platform media outlet. Support it!

http://yourockradio.com Check that out too if you want.

If you think this is somehow faked, then go to http://www.myspace.com/stark and watch this week and see what happens.
