Just went to an MF site called 'moneybuddy' cause it was on someones 'friend list' that I was trying to contact. It's a headshot of a cute girl. her"SONGS" are ALL LECTURES
of the INVESTMENT SCHEME she wants to involve you in. This in NOT what
MF is for!!! I and many many others are happy to direct our new friends
to MF because it has AVOIDED THE SLIDE INTO COMPLETE GENERIC HYPE!!
This is UNIQUE and WORTHWHILE..Please you Controllers of Content do
not POLLUTE by allowing COMPLETELY NON-MUSIC ENTRY'S into the
"ARTIST BIO PAGES" and sites. If you MUST start pandering to all the
Trump Wannabees in OUR MUSIC FORTE please give them their own
separate pages CLEARLY DELINEATED as "UNSUBSTANTIATED COMMERCIAL
PITCH for YOUR CASH" and charge them double.
I will be happy to re-write this with MORE CAPITAL LETTERS if asked in a
humble manner.

She has been a member since Jul 2007.
She is not filling the forums with ads, I couldn't find even one.
She is paying for her site (Platinum Member) just like you and I.
She is not pestering our membership.

Thanks for the replies fellow busmates. Of course the POINT is our site
is MUSICforte, not MONEYforte, CASHforte, JAYCEEforte, MENDACITYforte
YMCAforte, ASSWIPEforte etc. Musicians may be many things, and most of
us here wear other hats to eat/drink/clothe/house so that we may have
those free hours in which we can actually manifest our REAL personality
thru musical expression. Those last 5 words are what I think MF should be
about. Sure you want audience, sure you want to sell, but if the genuine
musical inspiration doesn't come FIRST you are just gaming on some level
or other. There are BIG problems with the gamers, just ask Yourockradio
who is appropriately disgusted and cynical with the "Music Biz". Yeah, I've
read your rants. What you rave against is why I decided LEAVE the 'biz
ages ago and record/distribute to MY standards. I had at one time or
another lots of lucrative "offers" from those who wanted to exploit the
"product" I can create. The trouble was they wanted ME to do THEIR
plan, and I wanted it just the opposite."Be a good trained monkey"
some A&R man would say, " I may not be a musician like you, but I'm
being HIGHLY paid to roll the dice and GUESS what is the best music
for you to create! and all you have to change is the notes and the words!
Is that SO HARD? Jeez don't be so sensitive!"
The PRIME DIRECTIVE of the 'Biz, as you know,
is to SELL SELL SELL, not create. You may say that's the purpose of ANY
buisness, but you know that in the music industry this was not always the case and I have been there when the company man was a REAL FREAK
and wanted you to just make your BEST RECORDING cause you actually
JUICED his sensibilities and he knew it was HIS JOB to sell, not yours. Of
course those days are gone forever, and we are now in a DEEP TROUGH
of artistic achievement, with virtually every source dedicated to the only
things valued these days: Name/Fame/Bucks. And you're givin' it to me
cause I'm hoping to keep ONE LOUSY HIGH CONCEPT for our site. Any
way there is no victory without a fight, and I have no plans to shut up,
your participation in this discussion is invigorating and I don't think there
is anything bad with this airing of views, indeed it will help keep us
from becoming Nazis. (att'n Nazis: not that there's anything WRONG
with that)

What people actually DO is none of our business. This isn't YOUR/OUR site it belongs to someone else. It will never be our site, that is as much of a fact as MySpace will always belong to NewsCorp, or whoever buys it. What they allow or don't allow is not our concern, the concern is what WE do with what we can actually control. That would be ourselves.

I like your enthusiasm, I can say that much. This little girl selling ebooks isn't any big deal man, the big deal is the lack of any real substance in the Indie music game. It's all kinds of hot air and no substance, that is the real issue. Not whether people sell ebooks off of their "paid" account.

I wish I could find about 100 just like you... I could change this music business in a big way. That is my compliment to you.

On the other hand... You have no f.u.ck.i,ng. idea what I am pissed about. Please do not attempt to speak for me, you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about who I am or what I stand for, where I have been or what my mission is. Your representation is erroneous.

All of this talk about "I want to control my world" is nonsense. Nothing plus nothing equals nothing. You, nor any other Indie reading this has a pot to p.i.s.s in or a window to throw it out of. I have been working with you people for 12 years, there is plenty of readily available proof to back up my statement.

So let's get real here.

What I am about, and what I have suggested is that WE, as a people, that is... Independent Artists, Inc. Form a corporation type of organization. Then we can create and administer and deploy a proper business plan that will change the face of this mess. That is my mission in a nutshell friend. Whatever you read, and misconstrued about my intent is purely fictional and exists in your own mind.
