My Favorite is Square pusher. The abillity to play live and mess up some crazy beats puts him at the top. He is also a wicked bass guitarist. I now Aphex Twin has got to be among the favorites. and new upincomer Exile. Iration Steppas are a favorite when it comes to Dub along with the Madd Proffessor. but Square Pusher is my Favorite.

I always thought that tangerine dream was a great electronic group even though they had a guitar player in conert. I checked out a north america concert from 1992 I think and it was awesome.. jazzmatazzes

I really like the sound track they did for that movie... What was it called now, with tthe trucks in the jungle trucking dynamite to stop an oil rig fire.

I can't remember his name, but there was a young guy from AU a few years back (Early teens). He had Leukemia as a child and was lucky enough to meet some of his favourite music stars. Tommy Emanuel took him under his wing i think. Any way, last I heard of him was an article I read about 2 years ago.

Does anyone remember his name, or where and what he is doing today?

Its seems to me that there are not too many people listening to electronic music, but the last time I checked the dance clubs are heaving.
So, lets include industrial and Dance music into the mix.

The best Industrial band of all time must be Skinny Puppy.
Dance music Hmmmm? Donna Summer may be?
I perfer Drum and Bass the best at that would be Roni Size (even if he's a bit commercial)
What about PLastic man for Grime.
Tricky for Trip Hop (even if he says that trip hop dosn't exist)

OK Square Pusher is still the best out of all of them. Laughing

My favorite electronic artist is a guy I stumbled across at ACIDplanet, Zephyr Nova. He just does music for the love of doing music. To my ears this guy produces some of the best electronic music on the planet but only a few hundred people who hang out at AP will ever hear it.

It's kinda sad really, that instrumental electronic music doesn't get a huge following, but that's the subject of another forum!
