Dear Electronica:
Greetings! I am interested to submit my songs The Lesser Mind, Given Next and Turn for the Better, in that order, for your radio show. How do I do so?

^^^^^^^^^^ LOL Sorry but I had to include that for Aaron!
Electronica is just a another word for "Music" It has all the genres and then some, but the music is created with synth, software and things outside of the traditional form of music or musical instrument. I think this might help the confustion.
Now, ideally I prefer High NRG, Techno, Ambient, Synth-pop, Upbeat music for radio but since we have so many different genres in Electronica & so many varied artists at EMF, we'll run genre specific shows for the radio. I'm still setting up the radio format & program for the different genres but will post an update as soon as it is up and ready to go.
In the meantime, be sure to include "Electronica" on your friends list so we can keep track of artists who want Electronica exposure & audience. Also, if you are a listener or fan of Electronica Music, be sure to add us as a friend as well so we can keep you up to date on the latest news and thank you for supporting our artists! |

Hi, please feel free to use my items if you think they would be of interest or appropriate. More in the ambient category, I guess.

BTW... I'm finding these categories confusing. Right now I'm listed in "New Age" for lack of a better place to go. But I don't know that New Age is necessarily appropriate. Perhaps electronica would have been a better match... though not exactly accurate either. Really... symphonic electronica might be best. Or Ambient.
Symphonic electronica is what people have tended to call it in other venues. And certainly I would say ambient (as in Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Lustmord, Vidna Obmana) is different than the upbeat/groove oriented sound I think of when I hear "electronica" but I don't see those categories available.
Good luck with the radio show!!! |

Your style of playing is reminiscent of Satriani. I personally enjoy instrumentals; they allow the listener to freely interpret the song's meaning with no lyrical influence.
Having said that, a common challenge for artists that play non-lyrical compositions is to keep the attention of the audience, and perhaps involve them in the performance in some way. |

All the music listed at our MF site is ready for radio, i.e. the 2nd and 3rd are short radio versions special made for radio.
