here's a bassline
and of course it's just a starter
feel free to truncate it, change it whatever, let's get this project x started

(if you want to change it into an odd meter such as 11/8 or 13/8 and start getting into combinations of polyrhythms, polymetrics, hemeola patterns or whatever else, we could do that but for now we'll just keep it fairly basic)

here is how I will notate it here so you can transcribe it:

8th= 8th note duration
4th= quarter note duration
/ = barline
R = rest
T = tie
^ = melodic movement upward to the next note
V = melodic movement downward to the next note

the bassline will start on the and (+) of 4
(fourth beat - up beat) and will be in 4/4 time and is 4 measures long

F8th / R8th F8th ^ Ab8th V G8th V Eb4th V C8th ^ F8th /

R8th F8th ^ A8th V Ab8th V Eb8th ^ Gb8th ^ A8th ^ Bb8th /
