There is a lot of potential in the affiliate marketing aspect of this business. Most people here at Music Forte don't know that it exists because it is isn't our main selling point.

But with that said, it certainly builds the fan database (or at least holds that potential), it also offers an opportunity for the work-at-home people.

It might be a fair chance to break down our Gold Plan into a monthly payment plan. That would give musicians the opportunity to join the Gold Plan with less money down, and also provide a chance to suceed in the group affiliate opportunity (with the added benefit of knowing that their original investment of musician services was being honored).

This way, there would be no risk in the affiliate aspect, as the musicians would still receive the services they wanted. If the profit-share program wasn't what they hoped, they could simply cancel after their monthly service fee for the Gold Plan had been accumulated. That's no risk.

To be honest though, I've always looked at the businesses as having very different crowds and I'm not sure that musicians would be interested in it.

I have a commitment to be focused towards the promotional aspects of artist development If there were a good way to integrate the two, where the affiliate part of this business was easily understood, and could be seen as a viable way of helping to assist with their musican endeavours, it would be a success. I'm not sure I can take on that task of creating that presentation right at this moment.

Greg, you have already done it! - It's called the Platinum Affiliate Plan.
Platinum members get all the benefits of Gold Plan Membership. But they don't pay $75.00 for a year, they pay $24.97 1st month and then $14.97 a month.

It's all there, it's just how you want to market it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Try both of our great programs! Just $24.97 gets you started.
You get two web sites- one to promote your music and build your fan base. And one to promote both your music and your Indie Musicians income opportunity.
While visitors check out you CDs, if just one signs up for Japan Promo you make $100.00.
If one visitor signs up for the standard Gold Plan you make $15.00 and you have paid for another month of BOTH programs.......
-----------------------------------------------------------------
That's pretty rough- right off the top of my head.........

My own skepticism is part of the problem. Not skepticism in the ability of the affiliate program to be successful - rather I'm afraid that musicians would not be interested, or even have a negative view on it.

Nonetheless I've updated the news and updates page a bit, to say more on it.

I have no problem speaking to musicians about it, if they want to lend an ear. But I don't want to tell the musicians unless it's requested information, because I think they are here for music promotion.

But again, that goes back to the better objective of receiving the Gold and Japan Plan benefits at a monthly cost, rather than one lump sum.

This makes it more affordable, and creates the profit-sharing potential at no risk, because either way, when the ammount is earned for the musciian services, they still receive what they paid for. The bonus would be commissions from the organization that is helping to promote the music and bring fans to their site.

Perhaps being more aggressive is not a bad idea. But with so much going on right now, I'm timid to change course. After some dust settles, I can think about this more clearly.

They can get all the benefits of Gold Membership for $14.97 per month.
That's more than they would pay annually but still well worth the money--
Plus it could easily pay for it's self with just a couple of bonuses or referral fees.
