when I was a little girl, I used to listen to the Yellow Brick Road album in my room that was originally my mom's. I have no idea how I got there from Ella Fitzgerald, but I did. I used to think the lyrics for Benny & the Jetts went like this:

You know I read it in a magazine ---

That is funny. I remember readnig an article about song lyrics that were misunderstood.

I think #1 on the list was the song Evil Woman by Electric Light Orchestra, being mistaken as "medieval woman".

But I enjoy "electric [bleep]" and the genetic arrangement much more!
