Have you ever uploaded a video to You Tube? Have you ever created a MySpace profile. The traffic among these sites is incredible. Driving people to see your new video or MySpace profile happens on its own out of the sheer numbers of people who use these sites.
Social network media is thriving, and there are so many places to go, it could make you dizzy.
At Music Forte, we now submit video to many of the most popular video sites. You’ll see a notice (next time you submit a video at Music Forte) that lets you know we’ll be submitting the video to many video sites on your behalf.
Why do we do it? We’re building our profile page everywhere we can. Yes it is a tedious task, and we don’t know how helpful it will be. But it does create a potential to bring in more traffic. And until we really know what’s going to happen with Web 2.0, we want to work with as many social network sites as possible.
Here are some video sites that we are working with. You may want to consider setting up your own profile and submitting to the following sites:
Google Video, You Tube, Blip TV, Yahoo Video, Grouper, Boltmedia, Clipshack, Eyespot, Flurl, Guba, Sharkle, Motionbox, Vidlife, Putfile, VSocial, and iFilm.
Of course, if you’d rather leave it to us, we’ll be happy to do what we can. If you are already having a great deal of success from video social networking, be sure to leave a comment and share your advice!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackVideo upload sites are definitely great. But some are better then others when it comes to the amount of people that actually view your videos without you putting forth a lot of effort. Artist need to remember that it’s not just about uploading. You have to put a steady effort to promote you video. The more people that see it the better. If you’re too busy to do any promotion then elect some folks that have time and would like to promote for you. If you have a budget then pay someone to do it. All in all video sites are great but of course there always work to be done. Hands on!
Aol Uncut is better then Youtube when it comes to you getting views without you directing people directly. Tagging your videos properly is important and don’t forget to submit permalinks to search engines and post in emails and message boards…
Experiment and be different when you put up your stuff… Make people anticipate what your next video will be…!
I happen to have a profile on you tube. I did see where it shows u can upload a video. I dont have a video up right now. I’m unable to sing anymore based on having medical problems. Which I do state this on my myspace site. So I write songs. I had sent some of my songs to demo companies. And they have others singing my songs. Right now I have no idea who is singing the songs I’ve written. So I really didnt know what to do there. On a couple of the songs I’ve written I do have some instrumental that one demo company did for me. So I wasnt quite sure how to go about doing the video. Based on the company having someone to singing the songs I wrote. & I dont have a video camara right now also. So I was wondering if theres any suggestions on how I can go about doing this? I still have alot of songs I dont have on demo. And I dont play any instrument. Just alittle piano. But not enough to making that sound thats good to the ear lol. I also have some of my other songs thats on soundclick. If anyone can help me over this matter I’d appreciate this so so much.
Thank u,
Karen Lorraine Johnson

Your comments don’t inspire me to listen or help. You started out negative from the bat …. I don’t have a video …. i’m unable to sing … i don’t have a video camera … i don’t play any instrument .. and i’ve skipped some “i don’ts”..wow! I can tell your self esteem is very low … unfortunately in the music industry people don’t buy songs on pity. Even if you have a question don’t sell yourself so short. How about if you started out by saying .. I’m a song-writer, left off all the I don’ts and asked a simple question. In the midst of the i don’ts I’m not even sure what the question is. Start again and perhaps someone will be able to answer you.
