“Dave Matthews vocals over an indie pop canvas. Pastel Rain sounds like a sure fire hit you would hear on pretty much any radio station that plays the likes of Good Charlotte Ryan Adams, Dave Mathews and all points in between” Ear Candy Magazine
“Anthill’s second record is a quantum leap beyond its first. There isn’t a dud on this 8 song recording. A-“Tom Harrison Vancouver Province
“A cross between Counting Crows Coldplay and Oasis, the most distinctive thing on this CD is lead singer Mark Osachoff's vocals. They're amazing--fresh and unique a combination of sturdy expression and grainy emotion - 4.5 stars Discovering Artists.com

Anthill is an eclectic band that draws its influence from 90’s British pop Power Pop and Wilco-esque alt-country.
Anthill was formed in 1998 and released its first album in the same year. The first single was a heavy rock song called "Child of Ambition". It received airplay on several Canadian rock radio stations. Several incarnations and nervous breakdowns later Anthill turned into more of a pop band. 2004's release "Ascending" received critical acclaim and was a turning point for the band ("This is a smart self contained album 4 1/2 stars out of 5" Vancouver Sun). After a year of playing shows Anthill went back into the studio to record its third album "Waiting For the Sun". This was yet another eclectic album with introspective pop songs. This album was described as Steve Earle meets The Police.
In February 2006 Anthill won Best International Band at the Southern California Music Awards. Its song "Pastel Rain" was considered for top song honours by the judges but was not eligible as the band was not from Southern California. Shortly after Anthill was announced to be Runners Up in the "We Are Listening" 2005 Singer Songwriter Awards for their song "Avenue". Anthill was recently announced to be playing on Thursday April 27 at Limerick Junction (The old Brickyard) as part of the 2006 New Music West showcase. Plans for an official release of "Waiting For the Sun" are under way and will happen on June 8 2006 at The Media Club in Vancouver. The CD received an A- from respected Canadian music journalist Tom Harrison of the Vancouver Province “There is no disguising these songs in gimmicks or whatever is trendy. There isn’t a dud on this eight song recording.” Influences: Oasis Stereophonics, Wilco and The Cars.

HAPPY HOLIDAY AND BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR!

 | ROBERT FARMER: 'IN A DREAM'
‘’In a Dream’ by Robert Farmer is an absolute must for any sensible person's CD collection, and for any aspiring musician and composer who'd like some hints at what's possible at the upper end of the excellence spectrum. Buy this album if you have more than a few brain cells... it'll be the best thing you did in a very long time because it's quite possibly one of the best albums your likely to hear outside of a major label's A&R department!
