Audra Raulyns www.audraraulyns.com
Three notes from her lips draw silence in a jam-packed room.
People stop mid-sentence to pay attention to this powerful yet sultry voice. Her sweet yet soulful songs capture your heart in the moment you meet Audra Raulyns.
She was named after the strong-willed Big Valley character Audra. As the daughter of a truck driving papa and song writing momma she was destined for early voyages to Nashville. By the age of 15 this young Toronto born teen’s experiences in Tennessee had spoiled any sensible notion of any ordinary existence. A ride in Waylon’s limo a song on Jerry Lee’s stage Printer’s Alley’s full right of entry and actually recording in Alabama’s award winning Music Mills Studio were accomplishments more than many could even imagine.
Two tracked radio releases and tours back in Canada complete with fairs and festivals and an appearance on the Tommy Hunter Show deep-seated the desire of her young heart. Soon after her freshman adventures her family relocated to the East Coast. This young woman would take her remarkably mature talents to Nova Scotia and would find herself with a new home and new ties touring into the New England States.
Gospel Radio played her spiritual CD; “I’d Rather Have Jesus” the Syracuse NY Church of God Conference and her association with the television program Souls Harbor in Bangor Maine built her foundation deep into the North Eastern States.
In Nova Scotia the Country Music Week of 98 featured Audra in two premiere showcases. Her and her five piece band Dark Horse toured throughout the Maritimes at Provincial Exhibitions Halls and Theatres as well as many appearances on ASN’s Breakfast Television at Casino Nova Scotia and Natal Day Festivities.
Her radio release of “Could You Walk a Mile?” instilled in Maritimer’s Audra’s incredible gift of song. No other female Entertainer in Atlantic Canada compels audiences the way she can. This performer beyond the typical description needs to be experienced. Audra commands her platform no matter the stage the lounge, the concert hall, or theater. She coerces you to laugh cry, dance and sing along.
Audra is stepping out again with yet another new project a full length original CD; that displays her enormous vocal ability her never ending energy and sensitive heart.
“All That” is produced by the exceptionally talented Scott Ferguson.
After a seven year tenure touring and recording with “The Rankin Family” and fueled by his work with legendary Nashville producers George Massenberg and John Jennings on the Rankin CDs; Scott’s unbounded artistic perception and genuine talent flourish in his studio work at “Ferguson Music Productions Inc.”.
“All That” compiles three never before released selections from the CCMA Hall of Fame Inductee Barry Brown of The beloved Family Brown.
Also included are selections from Nashville based producer/songwriter CMA and ACM award winning Kim Tribble.
As well as a power ballad from Nova Scotia’s own southern rock blues band Oakley, written by Wayne Nicholson and Ritchie Oakley.
Audra also has three of her own songs included on the CD. “All That” is set to be released October 5th 2006.
Just like her live shows the fervor of this passionate woman’s music leads you through incredible highs and heart wrenching lows.
It also leads you back to the repeat button on your CD player!
She definitely gives all that she has!!
…”Audra always leaves her audiences happy;
However unsatisfied as they are clamoring for more!
