Blank Space aka J.Alex Murray is an independent artist who has been honing his skills for the last 7 years. He is known across Canada as a talented lyricist spoken word artist and beatboxer.
Blank Space holds the title Halifax's 2006 DJ Olympics Beat Boxing champion is one of the five members of the Beat Boxing Pirates as well as one fifth of the 2005 Victoria Slam Poetry Team. More recently Alex has toured Canada as one third of The Outspoken Wordsmiths and as half of The Soapbox Poets giving him the experience of over 100 shows and a dedicated fan base in 11 Canadian cities.Though Alex is rooted just outside of Halifax Nova Scotia (by his studio space & family) he still performs all over the Canada on a regular basis. By self-managing & organizing tours/events on his own and with the help of others Alex sustains his life through his creative expressions.
