.I started DJing in 1988 at a under age club here in Portland Oregon. The Club was called “The City” I started on the 2nd dance floor and after a few months I started to DJ on the main floor during the week. After a couple years there I DJ at another club part time called “Silent Brothers” in NW Portland. It was a small nightclub for 21 and over. This was in late 1990 to 1991.
I got married back then I was doing the family thing for a while so there was a break from the club scene. In 1992 I started back DJing at a club called “Flosses” at that point, I was the Resident DJ for sometime. Then in late 1993 a Club owner of two nightclubs (CC Slaughters& The Bin) wanted me to be Head DJ and I took that until late 1994.At that Point I was part of some Promo labels and would write reviews in exchange for free music.Thats how I came across Techno Dance Music. I started spinning at at the main club and at the point; a DJ name Chris Brown came in and offered me a spot at a new club in SW Portland that would only play House and Techno Dance called “The Scream”. I was there for most of 1995 to 1996.When they closed the doors I went to other club called “The Lotus”. Now at this period I started DJing at Raves and Warehouse parties.
In this time period A friend introduces me to some software for beat making and loop creation. The programs were Fruity Loops 1 and Cakewalk Studio.Thats when I started to make my own beat bridges and short clips for intros of my sets. Between 1996 and 2002 or so ,I took some time off and worked at a job as a Stone Mason for a company called “The Wall” .In 2003 That’s when I started building my home studio and started DJing again. In 2004 my studio was done and I was back in the club scene as a DJ. I DJ for many events thru 2004 for SF Promotions and NA Promotions. Then I also was main resident DJ for a club in SE Portland Called “The Viper Room” Then I stared doing side DJ with a friend of mine named DJ Warred at misc clubs here in Portland and Seattle. In 2005 I started DJing at a club called “Chances” in NE Portland and still do guest spots there and “McFadden’s” to this day. I work with DJ Warren to this day at events from Portland to Seattle and across Washington. As for My home Studio I Been Producing BreakBeat/BigBeat and JazzFusion as well as Hip-Hop Beats. I am currently working with two local Hip-Hop artists here in Portland by producing beats for them. I also DJ Internet radio show’s the last year. The site’s I have done radio shows for are: www.Radio-Freedom.com www.UBO.com, www.radination.com and currently with www.2dagroove.com. The Track’s I produce have been sign on a label,'Special Effects Entertainment/DANGEROUS RECORDS' but I release them all to Sony Music Acid Planet and some will go to other misc web site’s.
