Anti-Bush, anti-war. Compassion, unity, understanding, resolve through words not conflict. Music speaks louder than culture, religion and government. God is an energy that we are part of and we are not a separate being. For science, and medical research. Stop Racism. End violence. Free Tibet.

Dale Pantalione formed Liquid Eclipse in 1995 (not to be confused with the younger British band who go by the Liquid Eclipse name) with guitarist/collaborator Chad Sainson out of the ashes of several local South Jersey "super-groups". The band has had interchangeable members with Pantalione and Sainson as the main songwriters. ****************************************************** Liquid Eclipse's early psychadelic garage sound was fueled by Pantalione's fuzzed out lead bass and Sainson's Syd Barrett-inspired rhythm guitar playing. Their trippy stage shows dubbed "the Psychadelic Lounge Act" were spectacles in light and sound and they incorporated liquid light projection and stage presence that was parallel to Pink Floyd in the 1960's while other local bands were playing punk and metal. They managed to amass a cult following playing their blissed-out opuses pulsating and whimsical original songs to fans at outdoor festivals small clubs and eventually larger venues. Fans often bootlegged their live performances because there was never an official album. So the band self-released several DIY e.p.s which showed a major progression in their sound with every line-up change. ****************************************************** The departure of Chadd Sainson in 2001, saw Pantalione take the sound into a new direction. The result of a band breaking up produced "PLAGUED BY PHASES"--hailed by fans as their sonic masterwork. On the album Dale explored electronic, world music, and ambient soundscapes, using the studio as an instrument. Sainson left the band after a breakdown and then went on to forge a solo career as a member of NY's Rizzo New Slang. Pantalione financed the painstaking and final Liquid Eclipse recording sessions on his own and worked with a bunch of session musicians to create a polished sound. ****************************************************** Although Liquid Eclipse as a band has been on hold since 2001 Dale Pantalione has continually released a couple of solo albums a year on Elsewhere Records, which he formed in 1997. He still manages to create new and experimental music from textures, found objects and electronics. As a very productive artist he's divided his time composing soundtrack music for several indie films produced/wrote songs for other bands and collaborated on projects such as Identical Strangers with Kent Green. He is currentlly planning to play some live solo shows and eventually re-form a new line-up of Liquid Eclipse. Dale is also writing new songs for the next Liquid Eclipse album "THE ELEMENTS". ******************************************************* INCOMPLETE DALE PANTALIONE/LIQUID ECLIPSE/IDENTICAL STRANGERS DISCOGRAPHY: DP-"THEOMINOUS DRONE"-2005 DP-"BRING THE LIGHT UNDERGROUND"-2004 IDENTICAL STRANGERS-"STRANGE IDENTITY"-2003, DP-"MELANCHOLIA HANGOVER"-2001, LE-"PLAGUED BY PHASES"-2001, LE-"PSYCHADELIC SESSIONS"-1999, LE-"SONGS FROM DISTANT NEVER"-1999 LE-"CRY TO HEAVEN"-1998, LE-"MIND MUSIC ALCATRAZ"-1998, DP-"SOLAR BY POLAR"-1998, LE-"muddle."-1997, DP-"PRECISELY INFINITE NOW!"-1997, LE-"THE PRISTINE DAWN"-1996, LE-"SHELTER (e.p.)"-1995 , |
