It was from a very early age that DigiStar aka Casey knew that music was a passion of hers. She has studied music in many different forms since she was in grade school but didn’t find her true calling in music until the mid nineties. Listening to the new sounds coming from the Chemical Brothers Crystal Method, Josh Wink and Underworld are what first sparked her interest in the world of electronic dance music.
In 1999 DigiStar discovered the club and party scene and it opened up a whole new world to her. This new found celebration of music is what inspired her to purchase her first set of decks in 2002. She first started spinning the sounds of trance and hard trance. This led to her keen knowledge of blending melodies and chords.
The style that best describes what DigiStar has been up to lately is dirty tech house. She has definitely gone back to a sound that is very reminiscent of her early electronic music inspiration but with a new twist. Don’t be surprised if you here a few tasty breaks tracks thrown into the mix for your hearing pleasure. You never know exactly what to expect.
