Alright, so get this. There once were these two boys. One was a pudgy pimply bumbling buffoon named Matt. He was a terrible bassist and his music reflected it. Then there was this lanky young boy named Drew a terrible guitarist and singer. They started chit-chatting over chocolate milk in the lunch room one day their seventh grade year and were like, “Let’s make a band”. They united and made horrible music for more than a year after that. They were “Fantasmo”. They made many hits including “Fantasmo-mo-mo-mo-mo-mo-mo” and other shit too I guess.
Then something terrible happened. Haiti must have had something to do with it because voodoo magic is the only reasonable explanation. They decided to change their name to Evil Cake and incorporate Matt’s twin brother Mark, into the band. Evil cake had a solitary performance towards the end of the boy’s eighth grade year a song about a squirrel with homosexual tendencies was played at their school’s talent showcase. Then something even worse happened! Drew and Matt got into a scuffle over like a tea biscuit or something the summer going into high school. They stopped Fantasmo and it would be some time until their friendship’s wounds were healed.
Matthew and Drew in their second year of high school made a conscious decision to bring Fantasmo back. There was a magic between them in the seventh grade and they knew it. It was Voodoo magic. They rekindled the musical fire so to speak, and are now one of the most cutting edge musical duos in the genre of brown. |
