Songwriting, singing, guitar & percussion......love harmony singing as well, the human voice is a wonderful thing!
I'm a visual artist and childrens' book illustrator as well & really like galleries......the work of Australian artists Lin Onus, Author Boyd & Margaret Olley to name a few.
Also love simming & a good book, just finished Tim Wintons' 'Cloud Street', a great read....one of those books you miss when it's done.

Australian singer/songwriter and musician Caroline Hammond or 'Lina' has been surrounded by music and art from the beginning. Her father Norman, was a gifted singer and artist while her mother Merle (teacher and author) encouraged self expression in many forms including music and creative writing.
Lina took up guitar as a young teenager in Brisbane and with early influences including Cat Stevens Bob Marley and Jethro Tull a strong interest in creative writing esp. songwriting developed.
Inspired by her older brother Mark Lina found her voice singing in local originals & cover bands at that time, a chance meeting with a Polynesian gospel choir ignited a life-passion for harmony singing (something shared with her twin sister Fiona) In her early twenties studies in afro-cuban percussion lead to work with percussion ensembles and the opportunity to share the stage with inspirational players such as Barry 'Little Goose' Harvey Jorge Rico, Ovidio Orellana, Suzanne Hibbs, John Malcolm, Jeff Usher & Donna 'Fatima' Miller.
Here she joins forces with guitarist/producer - Craig Claxton bassist - Kevin Howard and drummer/percussionist - Suzanne Hibbs a rhythm section drawing on years of experience in the local and national music scene. Craig & Kevin with blues legends 'Mick Hadley & the Atomic Boogie Band' and 'The Mercurys'. Suzanne with the likes of Peter Cupples & Brian Cadd.
Lina's abilities to improvise & harmonise has enabled her to work in such musically diverse genres as pop rock, funk, latin, blues & most recently Irish bands ( 'The Jar' 'Cul Taka')
A singer composer and lyricist of insight honesty and earthiness, equally influenced by gospel rock, blues, coffeehouse folk and vocal harmony. Lina has crafted a debut CD with songs that are both universal and profoundly personal.
