Melbourne Singer/song-writer Nikki Teeuw has been writing and recording her own original material for many years. Originally recording demo's with local hip-hop dj's and writers she developed a love for dirty beats and funky grooves. She then met long time song-writing partner Sean Flannery, which led to the unique style she has now developed. Her quirky and sultry pop melodies combined with Seans electronic production makes for an addictive combination. Teaming up with other co-writers and producers such as Susie Ahern and Dave Soutar Nikki has fast developed a style and sound that has become her own. Strongly influenced by artists such as Everything But The Girl Moloko, Morcheeba, Goldfrapp, Prince and Bjork, to name a few her style is groovy and funky with a hint of electro. Nikki has been performing at various venues around Melbourne over the past few years from bars like Eurotrash Bar and Revolver to street parties such as Midsumma Festival. Gaining increasing support from radio stations and audiences and now attracting international attention Nikki is currently hitting the scene with her brand new band line up and has just released her E.P Got My Groove Back. If you like electro pop grooves this might just be right up your alley. Very Catchy! Check out Nikki’s official site at www.nikkiteeuw.com |
