I have been mostly influenced by my teacher Mick Goodrick. I never heard somebody play that great ! He really changed my whole perspective on Music.
Thank you Mick, I will never forget what you did for me and my life.
Besides Mick, I apreciate a lot Michael Brecker, Chick Correa, Bruce Bartlett, Wayne Krantz, Keith Jarret - well the list goes on and on really..., |

Its up to listeners to label me.
I am curently in the phase where I am on crossroads betwen Standard and "Modern" Jazz. I love playing standards and composing tunes in this genre is great way to express my fellings. But, also , my playing has reached a certain point where I also try and do my best to sound cool and modern.
It's really the case of playing with great musicians and having great influences. Everything else is a matter of talent and determination..., |

I am currently recording with diverse range of musicians at Berklee every week.

I like to spend my free time playing sports,watching movies, walking, going to some nice places and many other things.
I am really open minded guy and I like to hang out and be around people.

It really depends from the mood I am in. If I start to listen to Music I can't help it not to grab my instrument and play along! That's the way I am and I am sure you all know what I mean.
I spend around one or two hours every day listening to music- it's always good to get your ears familiar with new sounds...
When it come to Jazz I would have to mention Miles Davies John Coltrane, Marsalis brothers, Mick Goodrick, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Keith Jarret, Chick Correa , Michael Brecker,Freddie Hubbard, Birelli Lagrene, Charlie Parker... Its really to pick one over another.
I like to listen to other types of Music.
I enjoy Joe Satriani Eric Johnson, Greg Howe - and all those Instrumental Rock guys:)

I am one season short on having all FRIENDS. I like Seinfield Simpsons, Fraiser, Spin City and That 70's Show!
Thats some of the things that I have chance to catch on TV here in Serbia.
Apart from that I don't really watch TV every day. It's better when you have things to do ,then to watch it- I think!:) |

Playing Football or as Americans like to call it Soccer; Betting on Soccer games ; Pool ; Movie freak ( I am capable of watching 5 movies in a row without having problems to get bored!:))

I believe that everyone should find the thing(or things) that make them happy! Everybody should try to live their life in happiness and try to avoid all the bad things that are around us.
Music is my life and love of my life, so the only thing that I am sure about is I will be dedicated to it for the rest of my life!

I am Pedja Simovic 21 years old. I graduated at London Guitar Institute in 2000 and at Berklee College of Music in May 2005 as Professional Music Major. I am playing Guitar for 10 years now and I have some pretty great things in my resumme. For example I was best freshman when I enrolled Berklee with 6 6 6 6 ratings at the age of 18(Fall 2001)! I studied privately with Mick Goodrick (teacher of Pat Matheny Mike Stern, John Scofield etc); Ed Tommasi Bruce Bartlett , Greg Hopkins and many other well known Jazz educators. I have played on numerous festivals in my country(Serbia&Montenegro- ex Yugoslavia) and I was also a honoured jury member on some of them. I play everything (all the styles) but my main focus is jazz. I have some promo materials that are available for all of you that are intrested- for free!!!
I am teaching privately in Boston area right now.I have my own teaching program but I also use Berklee and London Guitar Institute program - depending what every student requires requests and needs- since every student has different needs. I am also doing text/tablature lessons( some of them are posted on music forte) and I also do customized Video lessons for all intrested musicians.
I teach all styles of Guitar playing Harmony and Theory, Ear training,Reharmonization, Improvisation, Arranging and Composing(Songwriting).

Anyhow, you've always been a great help here. You wrote some fantastic guitar lessons. I think you're extremely motivated and I know you're going to be a Worldwide Jazz sensation.
