For 30 plus years Rick has been the featured lead trumpeter for the following artists: Bill Chase Marvin Gaye, Ray "Doors" Manzareck, Red Hot Chili Peppers and of course Fred Wesley,
Maceo Parker Kush Griffith & himself the world famous Horny Horns. He has toured the world and recorded with Bootsy Collins and George Clinton. Rick was also the conductor for"Holiday on Ice" in the 70's went on five successful tours in Europe with Grand Slam featuring Gary "Mudbone" Cooper within the last six years and he appeared at the 2002 ESPY AWARDS show hosted by Samuel L Jackson with Snoop Dogg at the Kodak Theater in
Hollywood. He is currently more involved in composition. Rick's composition is very creative and his 5 CD's cover a full range of musical tastes from smooth jazz funky-rock,
cool trumpet melodies to the extreme "alien chat" sounding experimental music pieces. His legendary golden trumpet tones and his mystical use of audio textures is superexcellent. He has several RIAA-certified Gold & Platinum Awards. He also has the ability to write for specific needs.
