UK based Indie band The Yvorras release their new album 'W.M.C Weapons of Mass Construction' which follows their first album 'The Jabez Call' in 2005.
Lead vocalist Josephine Yvorra (African-British) with an unusual deep voice with her husband, French singer/composer Alain Yvorra are inspirational singer-songwriters based in London England who produce their own music. They began working together 12 years ago as an acoustic duet with a prolific repertoire and developed into a full band as their three boys grew up. Their sons Kwesi (drums), Yofi (bass) and Iban (percussion) are gifted musicians who boost the Yvorra sound with their colourful style performing as a full band in Europe Florida USA and the Caribbean islands.
The Yvorras are a strong family unit delivering freshness and energy that appeals to all ages. Their work has a definite orientation towards family and unity.
The blending of their faith mixed with their cultural and social heritage has created a sound thats not easy to label. It's live - the way they like to keep it. They call it ROUGHAGE MUSIC - spiritual aid to help digest daily living. In effect their songs are weapons for this purpose. It's Christian music but not as you know it!
