He started his career singing in the choir of the church where his mother used to go. Music is the essence of the life of the “carioca” Alex Guedes. Through it he is able to establish his relationship with friends relatives, musicians who join him and his fans. Music also made him know the meaning of love so much present in his works and it helps him to keep his relationships with the world around him.
singer a compositor and today also an arranger and a musical producer Alex Guedes autonomously gives birth to his cd “Horizonte Aberto” in which meetings disagreements, illusions, passions and finally... the well known “things of heart” give us his main work among the ten in which Alex besides being the author takes care about the arrangements (the vocal ones included) and about the performance of a few instruments.
Predominantly romantic “Horizonte Aberto” invites us for a walk through memories complaints, promises and declarations to a present or lost love through songs like “Perdoa-me” “Eu Não Consigo te Esquecer” “Volta Pra Mim” and “Apaixonado Por Você” but it also reminds us that a true feeling can and must be enriched in songs like “Vê Se Decide” “Telefonei” and “A Força do Amor”.
It is noteworthy his undoubtable sophistication but with no exaggeration in”Pra Não Dizer” and his tender interpretation almost suffering, in “Me Dê Um Tempo”.
The surprise is given by “Um Avião Na Minha Rua” which closes the cd in a festive mood celebrating the perfect woman “first sculptural work”, which being fond of is not a question of choice but of acceptance.
