Singer, songwriter, and guitarist for "Auto Defiance" , Bradlee, was born into a family of musical affluence and song. His grandmother was a classical pianist, having taught, composed, and performed in the church for 50 years. His Uncle was a Broadway Opera singer. With his first guitar at age 7, he began writing songs at age 13, singing, recording, and performing with his own act at age 19.
Gaining experience in his early 20's; writing, recording, and crafting his sound, he performed various shows both solo acoustic, as well as with a band. He performed at such venues as "The Warehouse", Clarksville, TN, while in the U.S. Army. During an inspirational writing period, he performed at "The Rudyard Kipling", "Wick's Pizza", and "O'sheas", in Louisville, KY. Moving to Nashville, TN. to begin recording, he performed for larger crowds at "12th and Porter", "The End", "Outer Limit", and "Rites O Spring" at Vanderbilt. Captivated by powerful emotional singers such as Bono, Morrisey and Jeff Buckley, he pushed himself to better songwriting, and has now found a voice of his own.

Bradlee now has formed an alliance of hard working all-stars from all over the country.
As a BMI songwriter, and recording artist, he has formed his own music publishing company.
A sound marked by high energy guitars and unique vocal melodies the likeness of early U2 or Radiohead, the music is energy driven yet has an open atmosphere. The Auto Defiance is currently teaming up with other talented musicians, songwriters and producers building strong relationships in the music industry. They are also shopping their latest EP to indie film, television and college radio and have received a massive response from various myspace friends around the world.
Currently the Auto Defiance is recording an intense debut album and booking weekly acoustic shows while putting together the final member line-up for a complete live band.
This is not your typical Nashville rock, but a dreamy, post-punk acoustic-meets-electric sound.
Words cannot describe the unique and diverse songwriting, in which Bradlee is known for writing soaring acoustic pop melodies as well guitar rock anthems.

Moving to Nashville in 2001, Brad Lee continued writing, and lived in the studio, recording something original. Approached by industry songwriter Robert Malec who was interested in co-writing with Brad Lee and pitching songs for a 4 song Goo Goo Dolls project. He was impressed with the songwriting and "the overall sound and the clarity of the vocals". After hearing an early recording of "How could we go wrong", said, "I think you really have something here". Brad Lee made the decision not to sell out and protect his original lyric and song.
