My original songs copyright 1994 thru 1999. I hope you enjoy them. Thanx for listening. :)
This is my story and I'm stickin' to it.....
The youngest of 5 children MoCountry grew up on a small farm near in Central Ontario Canada, listening to her father play guitar & pedal steel in a local country band. Her older brother taught guitar and was the lead guitarist in her home town's only rock band. Although her musical roots go back to childhood MoCountry was a "late bloomer" and only began playing guitar in 1980 after the birth of her third daughter. Separated in '82 & divorced from her second husband by 1985 she wrote her first country song a year later and has written many since. She began performing in 1988 taking her chances at "open mic" nights at local bars.
In 1992 she graduated to larger venues playing at the Niagara Regional Exhibition which became a lucrative annual affair leading to performances at Canada Day events and Fairs throughout Niagara Region. In 1994 she was approached by the Fonthill Kinsmen to help get a sixty's style Coffee House off the ground. A venue that gained her distinction and a small following in the region. As a result she was elected for a two year term as Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Kinsmen Coffee House. Subsequently she stepped down, in 1996 when time became a problem after creating Three IV Arizona Publishing to publish her own music as well as launch a monthly music publication "The Coffee House News," devoted to interviews with local musicians and promoting the Kinsmen Coffee House.
Being a single parent since 1982 MoCountry established herself as a painting & tiling contractor to support her three daughters now aged 27, 29, 31. She relocated to Sarnia in February 1999 re-established her painting business and joined the Sarnia Lambton Musician's Club. In June of 2003 she moved to Michigan to get married. Her husband retired and in 2006 they moved to Meadville PA. In her "spare time she opened Crazy Canuck Painting in Meadville . She is now located in the Niagara Region but on the US side.
