Having previously worked with artists like Manfred Mann, Billy Cobham, Steve Hackett, Larry Coryell, Nana Vasconcelos, Gilberto Gil, Robbie Krieger, John Abercrombie, Ralp Towner, Afrika Bambaataa, Badal Roy, Ryo Kawasaki and Fernando Saunders, Stevens is back with an unusual array of compositions bridging the gap between soundtracks, new electronica, jazz, world music and rock - which is indeed no easy task, yet in the hands of Clive Stevens, the results are engaging and often spectacular., |

Anybody attempting to describe Clive Stevens' latest album in terms of genres is going to end up using a lot of hyphens. The saxophonist/composer is something of a puzzle master when it comes to assembling compositions. Although the pieces themselves aren't necessarily unusual in themselves, the way Stevens combines them is almost always a surprise., |
